Chinese Lantern Painting

At three, I think I've finally finished my Chinese lantern series.  The way I work is that I have to paint something. Until I'm done.  Then I have to paint something else.  I loved doing my three, but now I am done. :)

Here is part of one of them, on exhibit now at the Woodlands Community Center.  This closeup forces you to look at the awesome textures.

I began with a Maine Coon (ours,) and couldn't resist the little smile. :). His baby is all gold and copper, and fairly glows.  You can see it in differing lights on my website.

This was a really fun piece to put together, and I love the results.  Because I put the colors down in many layers, you can see through one layer of color to the next.  Makes it a fascinating 'read.'

He parked there. It's always so nice to have help around the house, ya know?  But when you look this good, you can pretty much do anything you want.

Sold Woodpeckers

I was commissioned to paint a #pileatedwoodpecker and did. After that I did this goofy one for my own entertainment, and it sold too! Fine, cheery fellow.

 

She took a pic of where she hung it in her home.  Yep.  Cheery, fun spot.  Love!

 

Galveston

A closeup, minus oilrigs, of my #GulfofMexico painting. It exudes peace and warmth. There is no describing the light and warm feeling this painting brings to a room.

I tried really hard to make this a minimalistic painting con blue stripe, but just had to add people, dog boats and oil rig.
