An Artist's Desk... continued!

The continuing saga of... An Artist's Desk. Here we have my awesome Oberon iPad cover, well-loved and well-used for many years.

Personally, I think all that paint just adds to its character.

Anyway, look up Oberon's tooled leather products.  They have greatly enriched our lives!

Self Portrait

Here's my self portrait in a photo -

This one tells a lot about me too! I used this photo to do a self portrait with markers...

Remember, I do commission work. Let me know!

Art Games!

You would be surprised, but I never present drawing games to my students before the sixth week of classes; they're all too afraid to show others their work!

But by NOW, we are warmed up! Here's one I did - we all had one minute to sketch FAST FOOD!

Boom!

Love the colors and textures on this one! For sale.

Coffee Mug Art

New Frame for Show!

This one's for the Hubble and Hudson show. I had this beauty of a frame built and antiqued it to match the painting. Like!

Student Work; Plaster

Finished! It was a big project and I'm proud of them!!! These plaster busts were a study in continual, non-stop decision making, and they turned out great.

Ugly, though... ;)

Solo Show

I'm looking at a piece in my show. Come out, March 28 6-9:00 to Crisp Eatery in The Woodlands for a great solo show and wine tasting!

An Artist's Tools

Some of my favorite tools of the trade.

I love these Fleur brushes! They hold a lot of paint, and have a big reservoir inside.  Of course Princeton brushes. Always good. The little yellow one is ... WAS... for basting in the kitchen.

The modified one on the far right is a Jerry's Artarama brush... Creative Mark.  They're cheap and I always go for them, even standing in my brush holders alongside far more expensive ones.

The toothbrush, well, goes without saying.  I use it for everything!

VanGogh Painting

Teaching my students about VanGogh these days. Thought I'd post this fresh blooming orchard since spring seems to have sprung here in Texas.

Teeny Tiny Art Time!

It's ... the long-awaited Teeny Tiny art time! This textured little gem sports a map we used in the south of England. These tiny artist trading cards are invaluable in giving me all kinds of ideas for bigger work.

Student Work, Plaster Busts

My students' heads are coming along. What a delightful journey we have walked together with this project in major decision-making. Oh, and be sure to know that bottom right is Alejandro the Salsa instructor!
