Personally, I think all that paint just adds to its character.
Anyway, look up Oberon's tooled leather products. They have greatly enriched our lives!

Teaching my students about VanGogh these days. Thought I'd post this fresh blooming orchard since spring seems to have sprung here in Texas.
It's ... the long-awaited Teeny Tiny art time! This textured little gem sports a map we used in the south of England. These tiny artist trading cards are invaluable in giving me all kinds of ideas for bigger work.
My students' heads are coming along. What a delightful journey we have walked together with this project in major decision-making. Oh, and be sure to know that bottom right is Alejandro the Salsa instructor!

Another go at this big boy. When they're 36"x48" or bigger I have to paint outside. Gorgeous day for outside work! This one is in the same series as 'Enter;' same theme, different color scheme.
These colors are so pretty, I'm excited about finishing. Getting close.
This means 'perfume,' and you can clearly see the plant from which perfume originates. I adore Chinese calligraphy and learning the language.

Mixed and ready to go. These are Matisse tube acrylics, which are quite thick. I needed more viscosity to flesh out my idea so added a Golden drying retarder and matte medium, and a little water. These paints are ready to MOVE! No brushes allowed, it'll all be hands and palette knives.
