Print Maker

There’s something about black and white.  Even though I’m a color girl, I always find my way back to black and white.  These are linoleum prints.  Can you tell which are the carved blocks in each photo?

Linoleum blocks are EVER SO MUCH EASIER to carve than wood and make beautiful prints. Being a complicated girl, I lean toward prints that are complex and layered. I adore the printing process and can get totally lost in it for hours. I hope my work shows the love.

Carving Linoleum Blocks

Carving another lino block; this time one of my favorite subjects - leaves.  Things from nature always rate high in this artist’s book.  God has given us a great big beautiful world. For a number of years people have been begging for an advanced art class and I finally jumped in with both feet this year (as artists tend to do).  It has been an absolute delight.  Together we are delving into the mysteries of art.
