Quarantine Printmaking in The Woodlands

Making prints.  I’ll be selling these at art shows, that is if we have any art shows that aren’t CANCELLED. Now I’m printing on thin mulberry paper; you can see right through it and can’t make any mistakes.  It’s soo satisfying to get a good one.  Can you tell my print block from the prints in the first pic?

I’m doing a lot of print pulling these days; if you see anything on my feed you particularly like, message me and I’ll pop it in the mail.  My address is colorcatstudios@gmail.com.
Oh, and a nod to Jeff Koons and his balloon art animals with my little friend there.

Print Making!

I’m curious which you like best.  Here we have four pieces created with the same two printing blocks which I carved.  There are so many possibilities!  Message me if you’re interested in any of them; they’re all works on paper between $5.00 and $20.00. #artist #quarantinelife

I love this first one; I like printing in sections so you can see what the different layers look like.
One thing I think is important is to have slow color gradations.  When they’re layered on like this it’s fascinating!
Ahhh.... what can I say but that I’m in love.
I like the light application of blue in places on this one; it reminds me of indigo denim. ❤️

More to come!

Leaf Printing with Linoleum Block

Oh my goodness I am loving the effects you can achieve with carved linoleum prints! The leaves I carved and showed in a previous post look positively ethereal on this background.  Loving this medium.
